Massiel & Chris’s Love Shoot

When this couple asked us to photograph their wedding day we were delighted. Chris a great guy and a basketball aficionado and is Lourdes’s cousins son, he is marrying Massiel a former model and great gal. We did an urban session visiting several locations that had special meaning to them. As you will see we had a great time photographing them, sharing cupcakes and wine (not on the same place) but never the less a great time! I want to thank Kevin Luna for shooting with me. We are all looking forward to the big day this coming February.

50th Wedding Anniversary pre-photos…

My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in this past week. In preparation for the event, we photographed them in Espanola Way. This particular location fits their personality and represents what they enjoy: “Tapas y Vinos” in a Spanish setting. To me, it was very emotional photographing them, not only because it was their anniversary, but because my dad inspired me in the art of photography.

They wanted to celebrate with all of their family and friends. They planned a beautiful party (photos to come soon). We wanted to give them something truly special that they would love and be able to share with all of their loved ones. We took these photos and created a beautiful sign-in book for them. We even had drinks and tapas that we really enjoyed. Needless to say that the photos taken after the mojitos and wine came out much better!

Elizabeth & Tony…party and get hitched…

We had a great time capturing the true essence of this couple on their special day. When we met with them they were very laid back and happy-go-lucky with the photos. They didn’t want anything too intense or “posed” and just wanted to have fun, while we captured their moments exactly how they were happening. I really think this is exactly what we accomplished. They were very fun and happy and it shows in their photos. They also had a great love for their kids and their family, and that shows as well. I loved photographing their spontaneity and joy, it was a true pleasure…

This is the Dj – Jorge Barrios (jbwaves@comcast.net), and the party planner/florist – Sylvia Conde with her handsome husband. They are both excellent at what they do and we always love working with them. They are very professional, and great! We strongly recommend them.

Ahhhhh….love that pooch!!!

We recently adopted a puppy from the local pound. It has been an adventure to say the least. The puppy was fine when we got her, but a couple of days later she started sleeping a lot and not moving, she also stopped eating. We immediately took her to the vet. We were shocked to hear that 3 out of 4 vets later, they told us that the puppy had distemper, and could be treated after having to pay thousands of dollars (which we didn’t have), but there were no guarantees the puppy would survive. We were all devastated! My wife, and my 2 kids were distraught. I decided to take her back to the pound and ask them what was going on, and as a last resort we were going to have to put her to sleep.

The next morning we got up and drove to the pound. My wife stayed behind and picked up the puppy’s bed, toys, food and bowls and put them in a bag (as she cried histerically). The night before we all took turns carrying the puppy and spending time with her (just in case). This whole experience was heart-wrenching to say the least.

I waited at the pound, then I met with the vet on call. He was great! He gave me several medications for the dog and informed me to feed her boiled chicken and rice. The next couple of days we followed the instructions to a T. We slowly began to see improvement! Our puppy is now doing great! She must not have had distemper, and survived whatever it was that she had.

We love her so much and are so grateful to have her in our family! Her name is Reeses, she is a mix between a german shepard and a ratweiler and our Jack Russel loves her too! Her name is Coco.

happy FALL ya’ll…

Even though we live in Miami, and seldom get to experience any season changes, today feels a little teeny bit like fall!  Yes I was outside and I actually felt a nice breeze and wasn’t as hot as I’ve been in the past couple of weeks.

Here is a photo we took a couple of years ago in Georgia, where we really got to experience the fall season… In the picture are my kids, Stephanie & Erik, my wife, Lourdes and her sister, Terry and her son, Jacob. Reminiscing about that trip and how much fun we had.

Carolina’s Communion…

It was great shooting Carolina’s Communion photos. I had taken photos of her brother a couple of years ago, and when Carolina’s mom called me to photograph her daughter, I was thrilled. I love to capture the innocence and serenity of children in their communion outfits. I like the outdoor look and I try to give these photos a simple and natural feel. Remember the old days when they would prop us next to a white column and kneel us on a kneeler? I guess communion photos have come a long way!!!

Emma…Newborn Diva

For us it was a true pleasure to photograph Emma. She is my cousin’s second baby and is truly a gift from God. We had photographed Evan her older brother when he was a baby as well. The funny thing about this photo session was that my cousin Ana, the baby’s mom, had told me on several occasions how well-behaved Emma is, and how she doesn’t even know how her cry sounds, because she never cries! Needless to say, since the moment I opened the door and she came in she didn’t stop crying! She also was moving the entire time! I think she’ll probably be a future sports star. But for right now she could continue being the Diva of the family. She is definitely the cutest baby ever!!!

Catherina & Sven…loveshoot

I had a great time sweating it out with this great looking couple in Virginia beach. When we first met I knew the photos would come out incredible, they were very good looking, and they represented everything our photography stands for: simplicity, real emotions, sincerity and uniqueness. They are German and were here in Miami for a few weeks to spend time in the beach since Sven is a surfer. We also had the pleasure of meeting Catherina’s aunt, Connie who was great fun to shoot with as well!

Andres Communion photos…

Andres was so excited about taking his pictures with his communion clothes. He looked very handsome and to add a special something his sister got into the action as well. This brother and sister have a very special relationship and it showed as they interacted for the photos.
